How A2 Key for schools and B1 Preliminary for schools support students on their
pathway to B2 First, specifically concentrating on skills development in Reading.
We’ll also be suggesting practical activities you can use in class to help your
students develop these relevant skills, and inviting you to share any tips that you
personally have found useful in teaching at A2 and B1 levels.

11.30 – 12.15 Motivating Young Learners in the classroom

Keeping younger learners motivated in the classroom is not always easy. This
session will look at finding ways to make the process of learning English more
meaningful and memorable, as well as fun. We will also briefly explore how the
Cambridge English Young Learner tests can help engage learners in the learning
process

12.15 – 13.00 Developing vocabulary strategies for B2 and beyond

This session will look at ways to encourage your students to develop and
consolidate their vocabulary at B2 level and beyond. We will look at ideas and
activities for the classroom as well as some useful digital tools and resources to
enrich students’ vocabulary. We will consider how this can also support exam
preparation for Cambridge English B2 First exam. This session is suitable for all types
of English language teachers. All participants will be given access to teaching
material free of charge.
